Son of Juice just got super sized! We took our hazy baby and practically doubled everything. It's busting at the seams with juicy notes of citrus, pineapple, and mango!

04/28/26. Poured into a short glass tumbler.
A: Hazy gold with short cap of white head with average retention and some scraps of lacing.
S: Boozy sweet alcoholic aroma with some grapefruit and orange hop notes but not much else even after warming.
T: Flavor is slightly better than the aroma but still dominated by sweet alcohol which masks most of the citrus fruit notes which are muted grapefruit and orange. Moderate bitterness.
M: Pretty drinkable for the ABV with medium body and dry finish.
O: After I enjoyed Maplewood Son of Juice so much, SSOJ left me disappointed.

Complex and delicious interplay of citrus flavors. Lovely appearance and fragrance. Just a wonderful experience all around. The hidden 10.0 ABV presages just a bit of danger, because I could easily down a couple of these while I savor the taste.

From an oversized can...19.2 ounces...this beer is a amber-gold color with a moderate haziness. The head is thick and lightly off-white. The aroma has an intense earthy scent, mingled with citrus rinds. I get a lot of candy-like fruit. The taste has a spice-like hop flavor, moderate sweetness, and an herbal finish. Full, hefty body with a lingering finish. Lots of flavors going on here and quite good. It hides the alcohol really well. Good.

19.2oz can. Bottom date stamp is 'canned on 05/22/25', about thirteen weeks in the can.
Hazy, pale gold colored body. Dull white colored head, one finger in depth when poured, and this subsides to a full cap and ring. Leaves behind thick webs of lacing.
Aroma of mango, pineapple, and a little citrus.
Taste is fruity sweet, with a toasted malt background. Flavors of mango, apricot, pineapple, orange, mint, and a little onion. Gets more woody bitterness in the aftertaste but the fruit flavors survive.
More than medium mouthfeel. Slightly sticky, with a syrup texture. Buzzy in the mouth rather than a burn. Higher ABV% is hidden behind the sweet fruit. Very good carbonation.
Overripe fruit concoction that hides its ABV% (sip this big can with moderation).

19.2 oz. can pours a cloudy golden with average white head and good lacing. Aroma has lots of fruit: apricot, pineapple, mango, orange, with some sweet malts underneath. Taste ends up bitter but not in contrast to all those fruity flavors up front. Alcohol is well hidden for 10%. Body is medium to full without too much carbonation. Mouthfeel is slightly sticky. I enjoyed this one more than the regular Son of Juice

16oz can. Poured out a cloudy, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left sticky rings of lace on the glass. It smelled of grapefruit, tangerine, orange and caramel. Tangy grapefruit, tangerine, toasted caramel and a piney bitterness.
