In the world of disc golf, a “floaty bid” strikes a delicate balance between aggression and precision. It's about hitting the target without overshooting, aiming for consistency rather than sheer power. Brewing our English IPA shares a similar philosophy. We’ve carefully balanced a moderately aggressive hop character balanced by a medium-bodied, biscuit-like and toffee-tinged malt profile. With Floaty Bid, we invite you to experience the perfect balance of flavors. Toss one back and hit the spot every time.

3/2/26 - (Maplewood Brewery) (Chicago, Illinois) Draft Notes: Pint draft served in a nonic glass for $6 plus tax at the brewery. A lager brewed with 6-RowBarley, and Midwestern flaked corn. Crisp and refreshing and the official beer of the Maplewood Lounge. 4.6% ABV House Lager.

Appearance: Caramel, toffee, tean and crumpets, backed by citrus. Liked what I gathered but very light. 3.75

Taste: Lemon tea, light caramel. Fainter than even the aroma. 3.25

Mouthfeel: Very dry, a little chalky. Drinks light and easy. Summer sun unsweetened ice tea start to finish. 3.0

Overall: This is a bland English IPA, light in all aspects. Drinkable, but wouldn’t order it recommend. 3.25

Had on tap. Crystal clear amber brown body with a full beige head, thin rings of lacing. Smells of toffee malts, biscuit, earthy hops and a kiss of citrus pith. Taste is actually hoppy for the style with bitter and fruity hops barraging the english malt and yeast base. Feel is decently bitter but more so resinous in a playful fashion, malts carry way more than the yeast.
