In full celebration of a quickly growing hop favorite, Krush, Maplewood brings us an IPA worthy of juicy attention. We're going to need our drinking pants for this one.
Pale, tarnish and opaque, Juice Pants Krush brings a hue of golden orange, an ivory white cap and an emboldened scent of citrus, stone fruit, tropical fruit and botanicals to the senses. As its sweetness sets an early tone, notions of shortcake, cereal and honey register with the sweet tooth before a strong hop flavor sets in with tangerine, pineapple, mango, peach and red grapefruit. Passionfruit, guava and lychee adds a succulent juiciness to the ensemble of fruitiness ahead of a rounded finish of herbal bitterness.
Medium bodied, smoothly bitter and juicy throughout, the session lingers with a hop spice of tea leaf, balsa, peppery grasses and damp hemp.
