Brewed for our annual Pug Day, this indulgent Imperial Chocolate Stout boasts a robust body (naturally) and layers of decadent flavor. Complex notes of dark, and milk chocolate blend with hints of vanilla and those unmistakable pudding-skin vibes. A dessert in a glass—bold, silky, and nostalgic.

This beer pours black and is topped with a skim of dark mocha head that leaves little lacing.
Rich, chocolate fudge aroma.
Dark chocolate flavor, cacao, with a little roasted malt. Hints of vanilla. Not overly sweet, which is nice.
Full bodied with a smooth and thick mouthfeel
Pretty nice pastry stout. It was sickeningly sweet, which I like.

Fat with malt and other dessert flavors, this dog needs to go on a diet... tomorrow.
Pouring very dark brown, easily misconstrued as black, Maplewood's Morbidly Obese Pug rounds out with a dainty mocha-whipped creme and a soothing scent of milk chocolate, coffee, vanilla, caramel and cream. As its sweetness coats the tongue, it does so with a bold expression of chocolate morsels, caramel and french vanilla. As breakfast blend coffee rises to meet the challenge, its roasty balance is also smooth, rounded and rich. Trending slightly bitter, the session remains sweet and hot cocoa-like with an extension of chocolate puddin'.
Full bodied, full flavored and plush on the palate, the velvety smooth session is simply fat with chocolate malt. But come to think about it, aren't all pugs born morbidly obese?
