Slick, suave, smooth: Our Dark Malt Porter is a seducer, overflowing with dark instincts.
Featuring notes of espresso and cocoa with a subtle, dry finish, the Porter is a favourite for customers, connoisseurs, beer reviewers and writers. Robustly rich, creamy and smooth, Porter pairs just as well with a steak dinner or a triple-chocolate cake.
IBUs: 30, S.G.: 1.060, F.G.: 1.014

L: Dark brown, almost black in colour, thick tan head
S: Chocolate, roasted barley, toffee, figs, subtle coffee notes
T: Bitter chocolate, firm roasted character, subtle coffee and toffee notes, very faint dark fruit, touch of sweetness

After drinking half my Blackheart, my friend's uncle felt the need to buy me another beer to make up for it. It certainly wasn't necessary, but I'm not going to say I minded getting to try another beer this weekend.
A: almost impenetrably black, with a big foamy dark tan head and good retention.
S: plum, coffee, cocoa, dark roasted malts
T: excellent! deep, rich flavours.
F: a bit thinner than expected.
O: I would definitely buy this again.

Poured into 4oz taster @ The Island Beer Festival
A: Dark and opaque, with a creamy head with moderate retention. A bit of creamy lacing on sides.
S: No much, almost like a Baltic, somewhat..salty, dry porter scent, bit of roasted nuts and coffee.
T: Very malty and sugary, almost like a Wee Heavy. Cherry, smoke, some peat, bitter chocolate. Delicious, but somewhat expected.
M: Very creamy, it lingers on the tongue with just the right amount of carb. Still very dry, making for a nice palatte.
O: A very good beer, I would order it if given the chance. Not super complex, but a good take on the style, definitely tasty.
