Bottle: Poured a clear light brown color bock with a medium size foamy head with limited retention and no lacing. Aroma of light dry caramel malt note is OK. Taste is also dominated by light dry caramel malt notes with limited amount of complexity. Body is light with medium carbonation. Easy drinking beer with limited amount of complexity.

Served from a 341 Ml bottle

A: Small one finger head that left some nice looking but rather thin lacing. Head retained itself for a moderate length. The color was a transparent amber. Looked quiet appetizing.

S: Caramel. Mostly highlighting sweet tasting malts and small tinges of a yeast character coming through.

T: Once again malts are the most present flavor here. Sweet caramel flavors are present and there is almost a light smoked flavor in the after taste. Very little hop flavor and not very bitter. The higher than average alcohol content is masked pretty efficiently

M: Slightly above par mouth feel. Fairly low carbonation and could perhaps be just a tad higher. A good clean finish leaving the drinker craving more.

O: This was a good beer and personally I thought it was far better than the companies other Bock offerings. I would pick this beer up again if i could but unfortunately its been continued. I wonder why?

A - Deep red with tinges of brown. Bright. One finger light brown head fades to a nice cap. Medium carbonation.

S - Soapy, metallic, and candied maltiness in the form of toffee or caramel.

T - More of that soapiness with more of that caramel maltiness with a dry and slightly bitter finish. I expect alot more warming maltiness from a bock.

M - Medium amount of carbonation with a medium body. Soft in the mouth. A touch thin.

D - Not a bad attempt at a bock but definately no better than average. Requires more solid maltiness and a little more body.

I went to the beer shop to pick up a 6-pack of a beer I could drink at the party... that just came out to the store so why not... This is a special edition of their bock. BOttled on november 19, 2009. Tasted at the party on the december 4th, 2009. Tasted seriously december 13th, 2009.

Notes from december 13th, 2009: Color is amber almost red. It is very dark amber color. A nice head which is a change from this brewery. The aroma is malts (caramel), not much hops. The taste is caramel malts with a light note of bitterness at the end. Medium body beer and very refreshing. I nice beer to have during fall. Typical of this brewery, not out of this world beer, more like a classic beer. Nothing shocking which could be good sometimes.

Tastier and smellier than their all-year round bock. Not bad, not extraordinary... however much better than their bock...
