Revised: After trying it for a 3rd time it grew on me more. I picked this 'blanche' up on special. How to explain? It has all the characteristics expected of a witbier but none really stand out. Originally, the lace/cream was weak but then I poured it into another beer glass and got a more generous one that kept its foam moderately well. It poured a nice, clear golden color. The citrus/coriander aroma/taste were not pronounced but it did have a nice spicey kick (originally, I thought it didn't have much ozone but I had a second go of it this evening and found it did). It's a good beer with a refreshing crispy taste.

Pours a nice hazy yellow but lacing and head retention is average. Has the orange zest of a wit but banana action of a hefeweizen. Nice and refreshing.

L alchimiste Blanche Micro Brasserie
The look of it: Damn I was impressed. Very pale beer. Yellow golden beer but you can t see throe the beer. Remind me of the 1664 blanc or the Hoegaarden.
The smell of it. Damn I was surprised. The same smell of the Hoegaarden but less stronger with a bit of touche of peach orange and citrus but more light than the Hoegaarden
The taste of it. Very surprised once again.Remind me again of if Hoegaarden. The taste of peach of citrus of orange is right here. My only complain is the after taste. Whys is it over powering ? A bit watery on this after taste but man it is come close as the Hoegaarden. I think the Micro-Brasserie L'Alchimiste wanted to make a competitor to the Hoegaarden or the 1664 Blanc. They almost did it right.
So overall would I recommend it ? God damn yes ! Overall this is a nice Micro Beer. I did really enjoy this beer and this is one of my favorite Alchimiste beer. Real did enjoy it. I tasted it during winter but during summer it will be an excellent beer. If you are from Quebec or even an other country give it a try is it worth it !

Single bottle from Broue Ha Ha in Gatineau.
Poured into a nonic. Hazy honey-golden in colour, with about a half inch of head that recedes into a thick ring. A bit of lacing.
Nose comprises of wheat malt, yeast, a bit of spice (coriander), lemon and banana, though quite mild.
A dry witbier, with mild banana, clove and coriander. Finish is dry, yeasty, and with a strong grain component - not altogether pleasant. Very mild, quite average tasting.
Lighter bodied, decent carbonation.
Nothing exciting here. Very dry and mild, and not quite balanced.

Bottle: Poured a clear golden color ale with a medium pure white foamy head with average retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of light wheat malt with mild notes of coriander. Taste is also a mix of light wheat malt with some light bubblegum and coriander notes which are more or less balanced. Body is a bit light with good carbonation. Mediocre at best and not something I am likely to buy again.

This one is named Blanche only.
The beer is pale yellow color and is unfiltered. Very little head present. The aroma presents notes of yeast, some bananas and citrus. The intensity of the aroma is high which is good for a witbier. I get some coriander too in the aroma. The taste is fruity (citrus and bananas) and the presence of coriander but not dominant. A good beer for summer. Truly a thirst quencher for hot summer days. Thin body and the presence of carbonation which makes the beer a little crisp which is good for a witbier.

Pale cloudy offwhite blond..kind of color a little white head, very active carbonation
Smell: spices, corriander, fruits
Taste: you get the banana taste claasic for the witbier, some spices, a little bit of citrus, limonade,
mf:thin, high carbonation, smooth aftertaste
refreshing for sure
Drinkability: respect the elements of a witbier
a find its a little bit pale though, for the taste..but good
