This clear, amber bottle pour was cellared for a few years. The foam cap dissipates quickly and an aroma of malt and beechwood smoke emanates.
The flavor is of a simple smoky ale. At this age the smoke is a bit muted and the brew is pleasant with a clean finish.

A silver award winner for smoked beer in the 2017 Canadian Beer Awards.
Well balanced from a hops and malts perspective. The key highlight is the smoke - not a beer for every palette.
At 6.4% ABV and being in a 750 ml format is the perfect beer for adding to a beer tasting. Bottled from Au Toit Rouge in St Jerome QC.

Amber-copper in color with a fast disappearing head and lots of lacing. Smells of smoke/charcoal/smoked bacon. Good smoky taste that stays for a while in the mouth. You cannot taste anything else really than smoke, there's a subtle sweetness before the smoke hits you though. A nice smoked beer!
