1 ltr swingtop- Very cloudy and murky yellow. Pours almost no head, just a thin ring of white bubbles. The aromas here are funky lemon, straw, white pepper, yeast. Tastes quite tart, of lemons, grapefruit juice, bitter hops, grassy in a weird way. I don't get any absinthe here really, and I don't imagine that the brewer intended a beer this sour and tart. Seems Berliner Weisse-ish. Strange, but not completely without enjoyment. ThanksD!

Tasted January 18th, 2009.

Pours pale yellow color and a little hazy. Smell is a little bit repulsive which is due to the Absynthe, I would guess. Absinthe is a aromatic plant that is known to be very bitter. Taste is not so bad, however, there is acidic taste and the beer is very bitter in a strange way. Not the typical bitterness found in very hoppy beer. This is not a bad beer, but the strange is so... well strange... that the drinkability is not very high. Moreover, the price is high for this beer which doesn't help.

Bottle: Poured a light golden color ale with a medium bubbly head with minimal retention and not much lacing. Aroma of lemon and bubblegum with some strong wheat with a weird citrus finish. Taste is also a weird mix between some lemon and bubblegum ester with a weird citrus finish. Not exactly an expert in absinthe but would not say it was very much recognizable. Not something I would wish to have very often.

Had this beer at the Mondial de la biere in Montreal. Poured into a 4 oz sample pour glass.

A-cloudy lemonade looking beer, light head.

S-licorice smell.

T-you can definitely taste the absinthe in this beer. Very lemon-like, licorice flavor. Not much of a beer flavor.

M-light very dry finish, almost tannic

D-No hallucinations or cutting off of ears. Very distinct absinthe flavor but not very much beer flavor going on here. Kind of gimmicky coming from a decent brewery.
