Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing nearly opaque black in the glass with a one finger light khaki head with great retention and nice lacing. Aroma of dark toasted and biscuit malt, cocoa, light vanilla and coffee. Flavor is dark toasted and biscuit malt with light char, chocolate, coffee and a faint hint of dark stone fruit. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. A pleasant full flavored porter with great malt and chocolate character. Nicely balanced. Does not have much of the dark stone fruit I'm used to in a Baltic porter, but overall a very winning profile for a porter. Looks good and is quite enjoyable.
