Some Vague Reassurance Everything’s Going to Be Alright is something we could all use at one time or another. It is also a 6% IPA we make with Connecticut grown, malted and flaked grains with Citra and Bitter Gold hops. Soft melon, dank citrus, and resin.

Got in a trade with brutalfarce. 16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 12/21/2018. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy deep golden amber color with a 1 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, watermelon, berries, citrus peel/zest, light peppercorn/pine, wheat, white bread dough, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, watermelon, berries, citrus peel/zest, light peppercorn, pine, wheat, white bread dough, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Mild pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, watermelon, berries, citrus peel/zest, light peppercorn, pine, wheat, white bread dough, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; with a solid malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is fantastic. Slight lingering resins/rinds after the finish. Zero warming alcohol for 6%. Overall this is an excellent NEIPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and pretty refreshing to drink with the mildly bitter/drying finish; fantastic soft feel. Awesome Citra, Bitter Gold profile. Very juicy, vibrant, and lightly dank/earthy hop complexity; great balanced wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

Another big thanks to Patrick for this.

Despite it's name, the unfiltered and soft yellow hued liquid assures me I'm most likely in for a treat. The bone white, but root beer float styled foamy head slowly descends with a coned peak right in the middle. The lacing is incredible, like knocked down spackle.

Scent after scent comes through, each intoxicating, and each somewhat subtle. I'll start with the obvious... citrus. A blend between orange and grapefruit, but on a sweeter rather than tangy approach. A light yeast and dough come in next, followed by a Saison like hay and dried grass. Searching deeper rewards with lemon and lime nuances.

The flavor was not what I was expecting at all, and that is not a bad thing. It comes together as quite a rustic experience. Again with mild levels of citrus, dough, and hay. Kind of earthy with toasted grain and the occasional splash of lemon, and the unripened green flesh of cantaloupe.

No surprise from the indicative appearance that this feels soft. It's actually quite smooth and pretty well balanced. There is however, just a touch of lip smacking earthy bitterness.

When all is said and done, the title seems appropriate. This is a comforting beer. One that I can probably drink all day long. It's refreshing, smooth, tasty, and unpretentious. It says "Imperial Pale Ale" on the label, but I'd be more inclined to call it a good ol' go-to drinker. Thanks again Patrick. Cheers!

500 mL bottle. Hazy orange with an enormous white head. The hop aroma is interesting. Smells fruity, a little floral, and apple. Tastes more soapy and resiny up front. Bitterness builds quickly. Light sweetness. Fruity apple flavor comes back a little bit in the finish. High carbonation that detracts from the other flavors. Not a clue what this hop is. Certainly smells good, whatever it is.

Tasted at home having purchased from the brewery earlier today.

Appearance: Not a great color. Hazy and kind of "musty" looking. One of my co-tasters described it as having the appearance of old pee. Couldn't disagree.
Aroma: Great aroma! More floral than citrus or piney. Delicate in nature but relatively robust.
Flavor: Really strong hop backbone and lots of linger on this one.
Body: Well carbonated. Appropriate for the style.

Certainly reassuring, as another American IPA that lures you in on the nose and then punches you in the face with flavor.

This is reported as retired on BA today, but was newly tapped today at a local ale house. I enjoyed a bright, hazy yellow tap pour (until the power went out -then a darker version). Aroma was of tropical fruit. The taste was led by citrus- hops and had pronounced floral notes. This was quite enjoyable and I will visit again soon to enjoy another.
