A table porter, brewed with dark english malts to create a flavorful beer reminiscent of dark stone fruit and coffee but not overpower the palette with body and bitterness.

Nice dark beer from this farmhouse brewery. Amazing dark fruit aromas on top of a nice flavorful beer. Soft mouthfeel. This is clearly one of their best beers.

Bottle poured into a snifter. A mahogany-toffee colored beer, and when poured, is topped with a light tan head. This one definitely smells like a porter (and tastes like it too). The flavors are straightforward with a clean, fresh ale yeast contributing light fruitiness and plentiful roasted barley giving it a strong roastiness. Light chocolate, brown bread, coffee, and hints of vanilla and light caramel. Overall, this is nothing earth shattering, per say, but well-executed and packed full of flavor for its low ABV. Cheers!

On tap at The Beer Belly in Albany, NY.
This one pours a dark brown-ish black color, with a small creamy looking head, and a little bit of lacing.
Smells like roasted malt, roasty/earthy coffee, a bit of dark fruit, and char.
There is really quite a good amount of flavor going here for only 4% ABV. It feels kind of woodsy and earthy, with bitter root, roasted coffee, lots of charred roasted malt, and a little bit of dark fruit. Really nice stuff.
This is light bodied- but not thin. It's got a creamy mouthfeel, and a huge level of drinkability.
A example of restrained complexity, and huge flavors for a 4% beer. Awesome.

16.9oz bottle. Batch #1. Pours a blackish dark brown with an inch of frothy, khaki colored head. Some lacing. The aroma is coffee and roasted malts with a some charred wood and earth. The taste is coffee and charred wood with some notes of blackberries. A hint of leather with roasted malts towards the end. Black coffee and char finish. Light mouthfeel with a lot of carbonation. Easily drinkable as expected. Overall, a pretty solid low ABV Porter I'd buy every once in a while.

on draft - oddly the bar only served in 10 oz glass, for a low ABV beer
dark brown almost black, not much head. mild dark malt aroma. taste is bready, some chocolate notes. thinner bodied. I'd call this more an English Dark Mild.

Had last night at Cask Republic in New Haven. Pours dark brown, near black, with a fluffy off white head that leaves some good lacing.
Smell is dark malts, some cocoa, semi-sweet. Taste starts with an initial malt bill, then middle is a bit of cocoa bean, finished with a big lactose flavor, like milk. Somewhat dry, very light bodied. Overall a session Porter that isn't too flavorful and has a bit too much milk flavor.
