A new take on a brand we got a lot of excitement about a couple months back. Our brett fermented IPA with pineapples added for a tropical and delicately acidic character. Hopped with those same “maker” hops; centennial, glacier and chinook.

On tap at Tap and Mallet in Rochester, NY.
This one lightly hazy light orange, with a small head and big sheets of lacing.
This smells fairly Bretty, earthy and floral and perfumey, with light pineapple.
This is three things- a Brett beer, a pineapple beer, and an IPA- in that order. The actual IPA character is kinda muted, as the Brett strain is delicious but kinda overwhelming. The pineapple is subtle but definitely melds nicely with the yeasty funk.
This has a nice creaminess, with a good level of carbonation.
Kent Falls definitely takes chances. This is mostly working for me.

Appearance: Pours a hazy goldenstraw color with a modest head; a few dots and dashes of lacing linger
Smell: Bretty funk and pineapple, with undertones of citrus and hay
Taste: Peach flavors forward with pineapple developing; modest bitterness builds through the middle and some funk appears, after the swallow; dry finish
Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: Interesting beer with a fruit twist relative to other Brett IPAs
Thanks, AaronF, for the opportunity

Recently purchased bottle, chilled, into a stemmed Hill Farmstead glass. Pours out a very cloudy golden color with a frothy two finger head that leaves moderate lacing.
Smell is a bit more Brett forward, notes of funk, some sweet pineapple, hop leaf below. Taste is very bready and chewy at first, bit of sweetness, middle is Brett notes, finish is fruity hops with bitterness present, lingering pineapple taste after the swallow.
Good balanced beer, overall not as hoppy as the bitterness would have you believe, but the pineapple comes in at the end to round out this beer. I think the original juicemaker was better, but this was solid.

Pours cloudy bright yellow color with bubbles settling on the bottom of the glass (which is odd) as well as tons of bubbles and active carbonation racing up to a massive 3-4 finger bright white head that was full of bubbles of all sizes. The massive soapy looking lead dissipated slowly, with popping bubbles letting the head cave like melting ice which then left good spotty foamy lacing. The head made crackling noises too, so this was entertaining to watch. A Brett IPA loaded with yeast provided quite a spectacle, so I give it 2 thumbs up for originality.
Smells of funky yeast, brett, lemon zest, red grapefruit, orange peel, coriander, citrus fruit and/or citrus hops, tropical fruit, musty animal hair and some earthy barnyard tones. It smells tart and bitter with the fresh fruit coming off as juicy until the funk injects itself and makes the brett very evident. It smells good, but not great.
Taste starts off bitter with the lemon zest, red grapefruit, orange peel, coriander and citrus fruit, then shifts to peppery spices and light piney hops, settling into the malty portion which washes through and then goes funky and sour. The yeast, brett, clove, banana, musty animal hair and some earthy barnyard tones return in the flavor and then bring some biscuit, bread crust and some more mild spices. No sign of the pineapple listed on the bottle, which is disappointing.
Mouthfeel is light and crisp, and zesty too, letting the bitterness start things off and then give way to the funky and sour aspects. Carbonation is fizzy and active, there are grainy traces and some hoppy citrus noted throughout, but the hops can't dominate due to the brett. It fades semi-dry and tart. Belgian IPA or saison more than IPA, this was an interesting beer but I'm not sure I'd re-visit it.Nice effort, but the taste was not something I'd seek out.
