Our first double ipa. The unicorns most definitely made us do it. Hopped with a rotating blend of our favorite and experimental hops.

16 oz. can. Hazy pale orange. Smells of citrus, lemongrass, and mango hops. Tastes more citrusy up front. Orange. Some sweet mango. A little bit more dank in the back end. A touch of alcohol and a tinge of bitterness. Medium body. Excellent.

Love the name of this beer and thankfully, nobody made me drink this. I traded for it and even though it wasn't new, it still tasted relatively fresh and true to form. If you like your beers like swamp water mixed in with tons of rich, tropical fruit rind, then you've found you're match with this one. It wasn't the best example of the style that I've had lately but I enjoyed it as an IPA that felt just a bit less than imperial in nature...
The pour to this was hazy, golden, and somewhat bright with plenty of sufficient head to top this off. Very little lacing remained as I worked my way through this as this beer wasn't terribly thick in terms of the mouthfeel. Tons of pineapple, guava, and heavy fruit in the nose as the taste was even more murky and turbid than the aroma was. Some star fruit, passion fruit, and weed came into the mix as this was a slow sipper without any overt hops or burning bitterness to it.
There was a fair amount of booze here but I only felt a moderate warming sensation take hold once I finished this off. Dated 6/6/17 with "OBEY" written above it, this was an IPA that would suffice for lovers of the style but wasn't noteworthy to me in any particular way. Loved the label but it came across as a tad to heavy on the palate, as a bit more carbonation would have kept this lighter in nature!

Perfectly clear; big frothy white head; outstanding retention.
Huge tropical hop notes (pineapple, mango) from feet away. Slightly dank and piney.
Fresh green and tropical hops on the palate. Nice bite. Reminds me of Gandhi Bot. Mixture of pine, pineapple, apricot, mandarin orange, and bitter lemon peel.
Very easy drinking. Surprisingly so for the ABV, actually. Damn good DIPA.

On tap at 2 Bros. Pours a semi hazy burnt yellow color with over an inch of frothy white head. Tons of lacing. Lots of fruit in the aroma. Melon, tangerine, pineapple, cantaloupe, and guava. The taste is more of this tropical fruits. Melon, guava, tangerine, pineapple, pine, and toasted malts towards the end. Tropical fruit finish with a nice amount of bitterness. Tastes slightly boozier than I would expect by the ABV. Medium bodied. Overall, worth seeking out.
