Inspired by Derek’s journey across the country to document and publish a book on America’s Best Day Hikes; this IPA is brewed with Thrall Family Malt 2 row and hopped with Segal Hop Ranch High Oil Cascades, Denali and Citra. Notes of eating drippy stone fruit while hiking through the sap encrusted coniferous backwoods and carbed high as a beacon back home.

16 oz can traded from brutalfarce. Canned on 6/26/18.
Appearance is incredibly hazy. Just marvelous bright sunny glow with the opacity of orange juice. The head is likewise the froth of orange juice. White and frothy. Nice lace on the snifter as it recedes.
Aroma is almost candy-like...but only faintly. Orange cream puff and flaky crust, faint bready malt. Lots and lots of orange and orange peel as it's agitated, you could swear they used oranges in secondary.
I like the acidity here. It's very forward. Very quiet pine starts this one off, with lots of grapefruit sitting nicely on the middle palate, with more assertive squeezed orange and more lactic acid on the finish.
Feel is again, acidic, with electric carbonation (perhaps a touch too much) and a medium body. Acids and faint resins linger behind.
Overall, a really rather unique hazy IPA experience, with lots of great acidic fruit to offer. The creaminess in the body and the thick feel is kind of lacking here, but that doesn't necessarily red letter this beer. Definitely check this out if given a chance.
