Dortmund Export inspired lager, made with Northeastern grown and malted Endeavor barley. A bit stronger than most of Kent's lagers, Hörde is a beautiful golden lager that leads with the honey and clover notes of their favorite pilsner malt. Selected German hops provide a delicate bitterness and aroma.

Canned 2022/02/22
Pours a creamy foamy 1 finger head with moderate retention, fair whispy lacing, very clear orange-golden tan color with a rosy hue
Nosy semi sweet malt, rich malt with some grain, a touch toasty sweet and some almost caramel like character, grainy biscuity cereal, light herbal floral hop
Taste brings more sweet malts but some hops up front, herbal spicy hops with med bitterness, malts are grainy sweet a little cereal, doughy, straw, a little toasty sweet with a hint of caramelized toasted grain, fairly balanced up front, finishing fairly dry with med-high spicy hop bitterness
Mouth is med bod, soft lager, med frothy carb
Overall actually quite nice, surprised how well they hit the style which is not a common style, especially in U.S., good balance, nice malt profile up front with good hops in the back and long bitter finish
