Good ol' Auburn Amber Ale on tap at the Ale House. I had a couple of these last night and they were delicious. The appearance is *surprise* a deep dark amber with a 1/2 inch of head that lasts all the way down the glass. Smell is pretty average - sweet maltiness and slight citrusy hop aroma.
Taste - Initial bitter citrusy smack of cascade hops up front followed by a big malty toffeelike sweetness that lasts into the finish.
If there ever was a decent session brew at the ale house, this is it.
