To put this review in perspective, I"m a newbie at belgians. The only other belgian I've had is St. Bernardus ABT 12. This is my first dubbel.
The beer pours a medium to dark brown color with a decent, off-white head. The aroma is of estery, yeasty belgian FUNK.
Taste - funky fruity yeasty maltyness up front... reminds me of pineapple, plum... Slightly bitter and sour hoppy finish. I think I may be getting into this style.
