Poured from fridge temp. The look is good, but it has a bunch of floaties in the glass. Good 1 inch tan head. Nose is caramel, raisin, dark fruit. Taste is really nice. Definitely more of an English barleywine, not an American barleywine as noted in the style of this beer here. Slight bitterness, but the malts really come through. Getting notes of sherry and port, and red grapes. Sweetness is there, but not overpowering. Really nice example, and one that I will definitely track down again. Mouthfeel is pretty thick.

On-draught @ Tribaun in Innsbruck. Cost was 6.30/33cl - ouch.
HEAD: Impressive retention. Off-white colour. Supple and soft.
BODY: Dark Amber.
Aroma is if Caramel, toast, Amber malts, faint cream.
Taste is boozy but Pleasant. Toast, bread, Amber malt sweetness. Not imbalanced.
Drinkable but not a paragon of the style. I wouldn't want much more than the 33cl pour I got.
Low B- / WORTHY
