This is a dark gold-medium amber color beer, looks unfiltered. Very pretty off-white head, mostly very fine, good persistence.
Smells like a really nice west coast IPA. Almost like Simtra or DFH90, which is goodness.
Taste is hoppy, also some interesting, surprising maltiness that's not altogether compelling, and not quite to type for a 2IPA, but not too bad.
Mouthfeel is right for a double, could be richer. But carbonation is a bit too high & sharp.
Overall this doesn't come together super well. It's not great, don't seek it out, don't order it at a pub with better options. It's not bad, if a friend serves it, don't give 'em the stink eye.

From taproom in downtown Tacoma. Typical DIPA in most regards. Smooth and flavorful. Recommended.

Appearance is a murky copper with a very minimal head. Nose is malt, not picking up much hop aroma, sweet smelling but very mild compared to most IPAs.
Taste is upfront with a sweet hop and tropical fruit start which slowly moves into a malty bread finish. Mouthfeel is a bit under carbonated however nearly hits the mark.
Overall a tasty IPA with a very tame and mild start and finish, not too hoppy or malty, finish leaves a bit to be desired.
