There's something beautiful about a archetypical West Coast pale ale - the aroma sings coming out of the bottle but it's the balance that's achieved amongst citrus, malt and bitter that's most enjoyable. This beer has that in spades. Poured with an unfortunately massive head due to the distance traveled. Dark gold body with a piney, resiny and grapefruit-rich aroma. Taste is pine, grapefruit, melon, lime zest, cracker, slightly sweet malt. Finish is crisp with a lingering bitterness...and there's something spicy on the back end. Maybe spruce? Not sure, but this is the real deal; outstanding beer.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium coppery amber with a thin white head that dissipates to patches and a thick ring around the glass. Color is nice. Aroma of biscuit malt, citrus hops, a little dankness, apple and orange citrus juice. Flavor is mild caramel with biscuit malt, citrus hops (clearly citra), lemon citrus, grapefruit and lemon rind with an interesting hoppy lemon citrus finish with bright estery citrus fruit notes, similar to some of the exotic Asian citrus varieties. Medium bodied with a pleasant light creaminess. A nice citra pale ale, not too complex, but redeemed by really interesting lightly estery mixed exotic citrus in the finish. A worthy showcase of the citra hop and quite enjoyable. Extra taste points for the interesting finish.

Bottled. Finger head that stays throughout. Hazy copper gold. Looks to be unfiltered, a plus in my book. Mild floral on the nose. Full mouth and malty rounded out by the citra hops. Balanced! This beer kicks ass

Overall a wonderful pale ale.
Murky straw gold with a minimal head. Smell is upfront hops with a slight funk at the end. First sip is amazing juicy citra hops that envelope your taste buds with a mango-floral pleasure finishing with a slight malt twang to keep the hops present but not overpowering.
One of the best beers out of this brewery that will have me returning over and over
