I had this beer on-tap in a tulip at Flatstick Pub in Seattle.
Appearance: rich dark black hue with a finger of creamy dark tan foam. Classic.
Smell: malty and quite roasty, although the volume could be turned up a little. Nice, though.
Taste: roasty, dryish and malty at the finish. A good, solid stout, although without the big fruitiness I like in a RIS. Still, it's robust, flavorful and satisfying.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and mouthfeel.
Overall: this beer lacks the complexity that I prefer in the style; I would be more inclined to call this an American Double/Imperial Stout, but despite that I still really like this beer. Well worth trying.
