Virunga Mist

Poured from the 330ml bottle into a branded tulip glass in Kibuye, Rwanda. The beer is a brownish ruby color with a tan head that grew up to 2 fingers and eventually settled down into some froth on top of the beer after a couple of minutes. A relatively inviting looking beer.

Smell has some toast and sweetness to it. Slight fruit in the mix, some brown sugar, grain.

Taste is relatively malty with some breadiness, but then covered up by grain an then some earthy hops. Finishes with alight sweetness.

Overall this beer is better than most of the major ones brewed in Rwanda. This advertised as Rwanda's True Craft Beer, but there is still along way to go. It's a good changeup but still pretty average when compared to worldwide beers.
