Poured from the 330ml bottle into a mug. This beer is available in most places in Rwanda. I've seen lots of people ordering this around town so I decided to give it a go. The beer is a bubbly pure gold color topped with a fizzy pure white head that dissipates after just a few seconds. Very soda-like, although a little longer retention.
Smell is heavily lemon candy. Lemon rind too. Not much else going on in here. Sweet and almost sugary.
Taste is also heavily lemon syrup. This almost reminds me of a lemon Fanta, although it has a slight maltiness in the finish. Surprisingly smooth but still a bit sticky/syrupy.
Overall I think if I wanted an alcohol free option I would just go with Fanta Citron here. It tastes similar. Although I guess being a "beer" this allows you to drink with the boys (in the minds of many people in the bars or at a party). In that case, OK. But it depends on if you think these products are necessary in general. As a style I tend to not think this is necessary, but as a member of the style I think this one tastes OK, if not "beery" in taste - only appearance, which I suppose is the point ( to have a beer socially without the alcohol)...

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
