I don´t understand the relatively low rating for this extraordinary gem. OK, it´s not US but for sure at the same level with Treehouse or Alchemist brews.

Purchased at Depanneur AS in Montreal for around the $4.00 mark for a 473ml can. Served at 6deg C in a draught glass
A- Opens well and pours a 1/2" high white head films out within a minute or two. Medium gold colour and unfiltered
S- Lots of hops and malt
T- A touch bitter. Definitely an American style IPA. Bittering hops abound. Heavy hops. Very much a IIPA rather than an imperial IPA. The malt is there in spades so for this style it's pretty good all around in the taste. Very little heat for over 8%
M- Dry and tart
O- Very good for this style and will buy again. It's an American style so be prepared for the malt bomb that it is. Heavy!
Food Pairing
This nice big brew went well with..... Chinese stir fry. Choose your veggies then I like strip beef in oyster sauce. A touch of hot sauce and it's a nice pairing
Enjoy

Thick, foamy head. It settles in a rocky fashion leaving large chunks of dashed ring lace. The color is light amber, dirty gold. Very mild haze.
Good dose of caramel with the floral hop providing a spice to the nose. I would never think IPA much less an Imperial IPA. Very pleasant, just not true to the expected.
The flavor is more bitter than the smell lets on. The malt start is brief, but the body is full which enhances the balance. The hop is a bomb in the swallow--you detect bitterness long before that. The aftertaste is long, harsh and astringent. The carbonation, while decent, is low enough to keep the rich mouthfeel. I don't detect any of the 8.2% alcohol content.

Can: Poured a bright orangey color ale with a nice off-white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of intense citrusy and bitter hops is quite aggressive. Taste I also dominated by huge amount of citrusy and bitter hops with some residual sugar notes and backed by a solid malt backbone. Body is full for style with good carbonation. Huge beer with a tonne of bitterness.

Nice golden color with good carbonation and a small bubbly head. Nice floral and hoppy smell. Pineapples, oranges, bananas, citrus odor. Crisp bitterness with a nice floral taste. Definitely a nice Imperial IPA, it's not an "hop bomb" but it has a great flavor and is relatively easy to drink for 8,2%.
