Described on their blackboard as a Cranberry X-mas Wit. Why not!?
Appearance: Murky Wit-like "white" that was borderline peachy, with a thin, pearly white head.
Smell: Interesting combination of acidic and spicy, sort of like a bastard baby with a Saison father and Gueuze mother. And I don't think it's infected, but not entirely sure if this is exactly what the brewer was shooting for. Plenty of yeast, hay and coriander too.
Taste: Tart and dry, and really refreshing (not very a propos for the cold December evening!), the crans shine through in the sharp aftertaste. Pretty lively effervescence, that tartness in the end makes it dance on that thin line between funky good and funky infected, but it was pretty much thumbs up for me.
