This is the winter offering by Le Réservoir, a Belgian-styled dubbel. Sampled on Dec 17th, on to the beer:
Served in a goblet, it's opaque in color to dark brown, and cloudy. My sense picked up caramel, burnt sugar, and coffee in the aroma. Moving onto the tasting, it starts with an edge of toffee and chocolate. Just a pinch of fruit makes its way being noticable. A light astringency keeps the beer from being really good, but is still quite good. Phenols end the flavor rush.
