I had this beer on-tap in a pint glass at the brewery.
Appearance: black hue with a finger of frothy tan foam and a very nice lace.
Smell: light with a bit of sweetness and roastiness. Nice but not especially complex.
Taste: roasty and a bit astringent with a pretty full flavor.
Mouthfeel: big body with a good carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: this beer improves as it warms. It's kind of huge though, so watch out.

Aroma: not a lot, toasted grains, anise
Taste: low bitterness, good follow through
Feel Palate: Fizzy, on tongue
Overall very good beer, can be repeat, but not something to look forward to
