A-Golden straw yellow with a white head that lingers. Patchy lacing
S-I get a nose full of Columbus hops, pine and orange rind with a honey note from the honey malt.
M-Resinous mouthfeel with the bitterness costing the tongue
T-I get a strong hit of honey with a bitterness that is like an orange rind. The hops try to fool you I to thinking of sweetness, but the bitterness prevails.
O-This is a delicious and solid IPA.

Bottle from the brewery. Served in my Kuhnhenn tulip.
A - Transparent bronze body topped by a fluffy, chunky, white foam that eventually settles to a near-complete cap, thick collar, and splotchy lacing. Pretty much spot on for an IPA.
S - The Galaxy is pretty dominant here, with lots of herbal spiciness and juicy papaya. Hints of the Mosaic hops and bready malts in the background, with perhaps a touch of caramel in there as well. Not sure when this batch was brewed, but it's on the balanced end of the spectrum.
T - One of the rare brews where I prefer the taste to the aroma. Nice balance of herbaceous bitterness, tropical fruits, and toffee malts. Sometimes I find Galaxy-heavy IPAs astringent, but this one manages to steer clear of that. Mosaic blueberry flavors show up mid-palate.
M - Medium body, oily, with moderate carbonation, and a fairly dry finish. Not much alcohol presence; perhaps a bit of warming near the end of the 650ml bottle.
D - This is a pretty good IPA. I tend to shy from Galaxy beers, but this one uses enough of the other hops to keep things balanced. Had no problem killing a bomber on my own. Not quite in the Great Lakes caliber of IPAs, but Rainhard is showing some improvement since my last visit.

This is a nice American IPA but could use some tweaking to take it to the next level. A nice pine and citrus aroma and taste with a good bitterness and a nice oily/resinous mouth fell. A nice dry finish too.

pours a nice opaque golden honey colour that gives three fingers of frothy head that backs off relatively quickly to leave a thin dense layer on top.
pine and citrus hops right away, very juicy. cherries, orange, green apple even. definitely sweetness in there, which i imagine are malts coming through.
sappy pine up front with good backing of honey sweetness. sharp citrus rind and lemon comes through early but is taken over pretty quickly by mids of orange and grapefruit juice. Im getting some pepper in there somewhere too i think. Hops come back again at the back, dryer than before and more bitter. Long bitter citrus and dry pine sap on the finish, fresh for the next sip.
fairly thick and well bodied in the mouth, oily and slick, rolls around nicely. Not much carbonation. Fades a bit at the end.
Overall a rock solid IPA that any hop head lover of the American style should really dig. Perhaps in the "Canadian" style Im noticing, as much pine is present as is citrus rind. As with the bottle of Armed N Citra I had, very vibrant and fresh fruity notes, with hits of sweet - like biting into a vine ripe orange. Basically a bigger and bolder version of the Armed N Citra. I had a taste of the DIPA they do "Asystole" at the brewery - cant wait to sit down and review that one next! Great things coming from this new brewery and improvement seems imanent.
