Fort Hill Brewery's Bock Bier utilizes locally grown organic cascade hops from the 2014 growing season. it is unfiltered, naturally carbonated, and conforms to the "Reinheitsgebot" or German Beer Purity Law which states that beer can only be brewed with four ingredients: water, malt, hops, and yeast. It is smooth, refreshing, and finishes clean with both noticeable hop and malt notes in balance. At 6% ABV it is very drinkable and leaves room to have another.

Moderate head than settles to only rim bubbles. A couple of spots on the glass. Deep amber color. Nearly clear.
Smell of molasses and a squirt of lemon.
Heavily malty (naturally) and less sour than the smell suggests. Relatively thin body wise, but the low carbonation makes it seem a bit thicker than it truly is. Sweet swallow and aftertaste. True to style but not very complex.

Draft pint at a restaurant, chosen because the brewery is new and is located only a few miles from my home, so if it's good I could easily get growlers.
a: Clear copper with a thin white head which dissipated to a thin ring. 3.5
s; Nothing particularly detectable. 3.25
t: Mild bready malt with slight hop balance. Dry finish. 3.5
m: Light, a little carbonation tingle. 3.5
o: An ok but undistinguished Bock, lighter and less malty than some in this style. Good enough as a dinner drink but not much of a sipper. 3.5
