A traditionally brewed Czech-style Pilsner. Dangerously light and refreshing, this brew uses exclusively Pilsen malt. Czech and Nugget hops give this Pilsner a delicate hop flavor. She gets her name from the goddess Hera, Queen of the Gods.

Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a golden straw color with a big puffy white head of foam. The head fades quite fast, leaving some light streaky lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is strong of a grainy and bready smell mixed with some caramel and yeast. Along with these smells comes some hay and must as well as a little bit of an herbal and earthy hop.
Taste – The taste starts with a bready and grainy malt flavor mixed with a bit of caramel and toffee sweetness. Overall, the sweetness is light, while the malt is a bit more intense for a pils. As the taste advances, other flavors of a yeasty and some more graininess joins in all while the sweet fades even more. A bit of hay comes on at the end, and with a touch of earth and a spike of caramel, one is left with a moderately grainy malt taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is medium in thickness, slightly on the thicker side for a pils, with a carbonation level that is on the higher side. Overall, the feel is pretty good, nicely pairing the grainy and bready flavors while keeping it quite approachable.
Overall – A decent, slightly heavier bodied pils, with an overall good drinkability.

From the can, it pours a clear yellow color with a small white head that slowly reduces and leaves lacing. Nose is a bit grassy with notes of citrus. Mouth is lightly bitter with herbal notes and a mild aftertaste.

12 oz can, gifted by Evan. Yakima Valley Hops glass.
Pours a crystal clear gold with lots of effervescent bubbles jumping to the top. The head starts at a finger but quickly diminishes to a fingernail.
Aroma of hay, aspirin, stiff green pilsner malt, and czech hop.
Flavorful and smooth this brew is. I don't get any chemical as some reviews have stated. Aspirin and straw/hay start this off, followed by a hint of biscuit, some lemongrass, and then lots of grassy, sharp czech hops. I'd say it's a touch too much hop, because it builds on the palate and creates a wall of bitterness after a few sips.
Feel is crisp and smooth, not clean though, with lots of prickly carbonation and mild alcohol warmth. Resins build like crazy towards the finish and after subsequent sips.
Overall, an impressive pilsner and one I'd gladly have again. Outstanding stuff.
Would trade for again : Yes

Doing their German pils and Czech pils back to back. NO can date
Pours a large fizzy bubbly head with low retention, almost soda-like, semi clear some haze and sediment, deep golden pils color
Nose is not so good, really wish there was a can date, fruity and a little vegetal notes, almost kool-aid like, grainy sweet malt and a little corn DMS, but old malt as well, little earthy spicy hop
Taste is a little better but not much, bread yeast, dough, more DMS corn, almost creamed corn vegetal note, more weird fruity flavors, light earthy hops, light bitterness, aged malt, fair yeasty, touch of diacetyl yeast icky finish
Mouth is med bod, over carbonated froth
Overall this was terrible, not sure if it's like 3 years old, or something else... the recipe doesn't even seem to be that close to a Czech pilsner, it misses on almost everything

Bought this as part of a MYO sixer at Whole Foods. I’m real new at talking about beer.
This felt like the beers that my dad let me sip when I was a kid: light body, amber in color, had a citrusy, lemony taste that made me think of a grassy herbal tea. This is me cracking it open cold from the fridge initially before it went into a glass. It made me think that this was a refined version of those childhood memories of what beer tasted like. It strikes me as a beer that would fit in well with your more upmarket summer cooking activities... it’s a cut above the pilsners my parents drank when I was a kid. I’d absolutely get this again.

Decent Pilsner. Good flavor, cheap and very drinkable.

Picked up a couple cans from the cooler at my local market. I was impressed with Fort Point's Fresh Pick and, although I know success in one style doesn't necessarily translate to another, it's pilsener season so I'm willing to give most a try. Glad I did.
Pours a golden hue with good clarity beneath a foamy head. Looks the part quite nicely.
Aroma is less doughy and slightly more citrusy and grassy; somewhere between a German, Czech and Americans style from my perspective.
Taste is grass, light lemony citrus, dough, cracker with a slightly bitter kiss.
Light, fresh, crisp - must be a fresh can, although I can't tell without canning date. Really nice beer that carves its own path in the pilsener style.

Nice break from my current IPA bent. Used to drink Pilsners in Germany, years ago. Light, bright color. Hoppy nose. Light, clean taste of hops. Light mouth feel appropriate to a pilsner lager. Refreshing!

It doesn't taste like any Czech pils I've ever had but it is very well balanced citrus-flavored beer that drinks easy. I have it on my short list of beers to buy this summer.
