FORT HILL BRANCH MANAGER PILSENER 6/25/22
Draft pint at the brewery.
a: Clear dark gold with a thin head and patchy lacing.
s: Grain.
t: Light barley malt
m: Lightish medium, just right body .
o: A refreshing and tasty pilsener, described on BA as German but at the brewery as Czech and seems more like the latter due to somewhat stronger grain flavor.

Doing their German pils and Czech pils back to back. NO can date
Pours a large foamy fizzy head that fades semi quickly, med-lower retention, soapy lacing, mostly clear slight sediment golden pils color
Nose grainy doughy pilsner malt, a soft German pilsner malt with some corn notes, grainy-sweet gristy like, little doughy with a touch of a lemony note, light earthy and maybe lemony hops
Taste brings mild sweet malts, grainy-sweet doughy with some cracker, bread dough, grist, touch of corn DMS from the pilsner malt, the hops, med bitterness, light earthy spicy hop flavor, cereal grain late, soft lager notes, drier crisp finish, nice German pilsner crisp bitter finish touch of sulfate I think, but also some softening chalky-mineral notes I think
Mouth is med bod, med-higher fizzy carb
Overall not bad, nice malt characters, hops are a little unusual on teh aroma but decent on the taste, I think the water treatment needs a touch of a rework but decent
