It's hop harvest time, so obviously we've been working closely with our friends at Four Star Farms to get you their best and freshest cones. 4* Rakau is the third and final in a series of three sour beers featuring single hop varieties picked off the bine just hours before ending up in our beer. This gets you the best, clearest taste of these guys we can get you. Expect herbal, minty, and tropical fruit notes supported by a nutty finish and a good amount of tartness. Get it while you can, this is a once-a-year brew!

L-Cloudy pale yellow with a modest head and light lacing.
S-The smell is quite funky almost to the point of being offputting.
T- Thankfully the taste does not follow the nose. It has a nice level of sour without being overpowering.
F-Medium prickly carbonation keeps the mouthfeel light.
O-An unappealing smell does not take away from what is a simple enjoyable sour.

Sour Pale Ale. The nose is deceiving to the initial taste. The sour aftertaste is a bit much for me, but its one of the more mid sours Ive seen from Hermit Thrush. Will definitely buy again though.
