A- Tallboy pours into a tulip glass with a slightly hazy deep golden body that approaches amber. A cap rises up to one finger high with a very foamy texture and fair retention. A small island at the tops and a ring around the edges leaves spotty lace.
S- A massive dose of lactic acid sourness makes up a lot of the aroma surrounded by the wine barrel influence, fruity notes and a hint of acetic acid. Sour wine grapes, straight up lemons, musty vinous oak barrel and a touch of oak wood. Really about those sours here but still some nice depth with the wine barrel and other bugs.
T- As the aroma suggested this one is very, very sour with a ton of lactic acid and just a hint of vinegar/acetic. The intense sour doesn't detract from the nice flavors that are present. Overall it is a nice blend of wine flavors and the funky sour bugs. Dark sour wine grapes, sour apple, lemon, lactic acid, musty basement, slight horse blanket, sour cherry pie and a hint of the oak wood.
MF- Light bodied overall just a bit towards medium. The carbonation is fairly high and it ends just brutally sour on the taste buds. Texture is foamy and creamy smooth.
Last two cans I have had from these guys have been intensely sour but they still carry a very nice, balanced flavor profile to go with that. Nice vinous fruits, big sours and a slight bit of funk.
