Collaboration with Lawson’s Finest Liquids
A taste of Northern and Southern Vermont in a can with a ton of passion fruit and barrel aged character. We took the base beer of Lawson’s The Space in Between, added even more passion fruit, and aged it for 12 months in rum barrels and red wine barrels. Fermented with 100% wild Brattleboro yeast.

Pours a large foamy frothy 2+ finger head with fair retention, spotty lacing, semi clear pale golden straw color
Nose is holy-cow level of passion fruit, so much passion fruit, fresh fruit and juice, when I finally get past that there is some souring funk, dankness from the passion fruit and some funk notes, mild oak barrel and vanilla, mild funky rum note
Taste starts fairly sour, tart funky souring bacteria like with acetic maybe lactic acid, some barnyard funk, also tons of passion fruit although note as dominant as the nose, tart but dank passion fruit again fresh fruit and juice, a bit of buttery oak and vanilla, a touch of red wine on the back end that comes more as it warms, a hint of a rum punch like character as well, tart mild flemmy funky finish that makes my mouth continue watering for minutes after
Mouth is med bod, a bit creamy like, plenty of tart acidity and mild flemmy, med to higher frothy carb
Overall a nice sour beer, quite enjoyable

16 ounce can packaged 062623.
Vigorous pour yields a nearly two inch white head over a slightly hazy, straw colored body with scant lacing.
Head dissipates down to a ring within five minutes.
Nose has passion fruit, citrus, a bit of funk, and very slight oak, wine, and rum.
Taste is medium sour with passion fruit throughout and hints of wine, rum, and oak.
Adequate feel for the style with medium carbonation.
Overall, a real nice stab at a fruited sour from Brattleboro, VT and glad to have tried this now.
(I must have missed it when it was first produced!)
Cheers!!!
