On the bottle:
A very fine barrel aged sour ale. When we blend other beers, we set aside our most favorite barrels to further age. Then, we create a blend from this extra special group once a year. This 2022 blend vintage contains beers brewed in 2018, 2019, and 2020 -- very fine, indeed.

Hazy, dirty gold color. The head is very brief and completely disappears within 30 seconds. No lace.
Tart, but also slightly sweet to the nose. Notes of lemon meringue and tart baking cherries. In the background I pickup some pale malt base.
More tart tastewise and the mild sweetness is gone. Fairly full bodied with a diminished carbonation. Once past the sourness, this is a surprisingly smooth beer both in feel and flavor. While the finish is lip-puckering, the aftertaste diminishes quickly leaving a lingering dryness in the mouth that has me seeking another sip.
