A bit thin and watery for a stout. Only a trace of head. Ford on draft. Needs much more carbonation. Smell and taste are good with us spicy combination of cinnamon and nutmeg, but the beer needs much more body.

Poured 11/13/2016 from a 32oz growler that was filled at the brewery on 11/10/2016, into a mug glass.
A: The beer is a deep dark brown color, with a thin beige head that fades quickly and leaves a very thin lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains strong eggnog and nutmeg along with chocolate, lactose and roasted malts.
T: The taste is creamy and very sweet with flavors of eggnog, nutmeg and milk chocolate up front. There are some background flavors of coffee and lactose. The malt character is hearty but not too heavy. The hops presence is mild as you would expect but still brings a good balance. The after-taste is sweet.
M: A little crisp and very smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is sticky.
O: Tasty, goes down very easily, not too filling, decent kick, good variation of style, I find this brewer to be one of the best at making “dessert beers” and this beer is no exception, if you like eggnog and sweet stouts, this beer is the perfect combination for you.

32oz. howler served in a tulip. Pours slightly darker than cola with a loose, quarter inch tan-colored head the quickly dissipates towards the shoulders. Nose expresses nutmeg and coca notes. Taste consistent with nose; fortunately, the spice profile is tame. There's also a suggestion of brewer's licorice; however, it all comes off as a bit watery with the addition of cinnamon in the background. Mouthfeel is light-medium with a mild prickly carbonation and a fairly watery texture. Overall, not really my thing but a good freshman effort.
