Poured from a 32oz “crowler” can into a US tumbler pint glass.
A: The beer is a deep gold color with a short white head that fades quickly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains strong chocolate and coffee, caramelized malts and a touch of hops.
T: The taste likewise starts out with strong chocolate and coffee flavors followed by a hearty malt character. The hops presence is mild but complementary and provides a good balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet and slightly bready.
M: Crisp and smooth but does not have the chalkiness that I have experienced in other white or golden stouts, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.
O: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, decent kick, good representation of style, this is a solid beer to drink for a while.
