Appearance - Opaque black-brown, pours a thin 1-finger head which dissipates to nothing, slight amount of lacing.
Smell - Biscuit, burnt oats, coffee, cocoa nibs, dark cherry.
Taste - Toasty with big roasted biscuit malt up front. Cocoa and a hint of coffee in the mid-body. A sweet and hoppy finish. Slight mineral body. A reasonably drinkable dark beer.
Mouthfeel - Good numbing tingle on the tongue like pins and needles. Medium body with slight cream when chewed, and good oil. A bit fizzy, which slightly hampers drinkability, but really refreshing still.
Overall - A big, malty brew. Pretty straightforward and clean, it is a Pils after all, but a very drinkable cool weather brew.
