Copenhagen 5/2 2022. 33 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Pattern made of stacked green squares with White Hag's elegant logo with an intertwined gold W and a white H.
Pours clear pale yellow with a big white head. Settles as thin, patchy layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a light sweet odor of stone fruit mingling with a stronger scent of citrus fruits. Peach and apricots. Citrus and lime. Touch of grapefruit.
Medium strong carbonation. Thin, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undertone. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.
Light, refreshing and straightforward.

Keg halfpint at Graingers, Dublin. Pale golden colour, white head. Zesty and citrussy aroma and flavour, light bodied but good. Might well sample again.

Can.
Only Irish malts (I have read).
Straw yellow.
Clean, transparent.
Tropical fruit on the nose, but not an explosion.
In the mouth I find it fruity (tropical: mango, passion fruit), quite bitter and herbaceous hints.
Neither "fruit" nor bitter remains in the mouth for long.
Very Dry.
Quite classic (as I expected).
Not wrong, but perhaps a little too anonymous.

look: one finger white head with some lacing, gold coloured somewhat hazy beer, decent level of carbonation within the glass.
smell: super hoppy, lots of floral hop aroma, citrus fruits, a touch of biscuity malt, fruity sweetness, some tropical fruit, some mango, the whack of hop bitterness is maybe excessive, weird for a session ipa.
taste: actually a decent bit of grassy, bready, biscuity malt there, some caramel sweetness too, this quickly subsides to an all hop affair of tropical and citrus fruits, lot of grapefruit, and a decent zap of bitterness, also a lot of weird herbal and floral flavour, still pleasant enough though.
feel: light to medium bodied, high carbonation, crisp, dry & refreshing, and of course super sessionable.
overall: it is a reasonably bang on session ipa, not amazing but does the trick.

Got a can of this in a mixed batch from Beer52.
Light coloured, slight haze with a thick head.
Not much to smell here.
Not much to taste either. A little fruity not too bitter.
Quite light, thin in the mouth but maybe a little over carbonated. Seems to be a trend with canned ales in my limited experience.
Overall not bad. Only 4.2% ABV so could quite easily sink a few of these chilled on a warm day.

330ml Can from Hargadon Bros Off-License, Sligo (€3.10):
Getting off to quite a good start, this one definitely seemed stronger than expected for a session IPA with some nice tropical fruits & citrus flavours coming through alongside a faintly resinous pine; I got some mango & peach alongside pineapple & quite a few other fruits sitting in the background too. The balance was quite good initially, although it did fade ever so slightly towards the end of the taste whilst remaining drinkable. I was surprised by this one a lot & if only it could have been a tiny bit more pronounced, or if it hadn't faded right at the end then it would have been a must-try; it was still a nice beer though in spite of this.

Big juicy beer. Unbelievable amount packed in at relatively low ABV. Fruity, clean and refreshing. Perfect beer for a hot day. Probably the best example of a session IPA
