look: one finger white head with decent levels of retention and a good bit of lacing, beer is an amber to straw colour, super duper hazy, decent amount of bubbles leisurely working their way up the beer.
smell: there’s a fair bit going on, a nice bit biscuity malt, touch grainy, there is a load of really fresh orange, freshly squeezed orange juice, some more tropical fruit flavours there too, some vanilla, a hint of belgian herb and spice character but not a lot, but it’s so juicy.
taste: quite pleasant, malty at first, biscuit, a hint of white bread, grainy, those orange juicy flavours come through but they aren’t at rich as they are on the nose, also some tropical fruit flavours, mango and passion fruit, right whack of bitterness on the finish, a touch of spice, some herbal flavours. a pleasant ale.
feel: medium mouthfeel, medium carbonation, somewhat dry, refreshing, how i like an ipa to be i suppose, defintley a bit of warmth from the alcohol
overall: an intriguing ipa from a brewery i’m rather fond of now, must try more of their beers.
