Copenhagen 8/5 2021. 44 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Triangular pattern in pink, purple, and yellow on the can.
Pours slightly unclear, golden amber with a dense, mid-sized, white head. Stable. Settles as thin but consistent layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of tropical fruit and lighter citric notes. Honey melon, orange. Lime and citrus. A whiff of pine forest and elder flower.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
Pretty light for a DIPA - but satisfying none the less.

440ml can from SuperValu, Bundoran (€3.09):
Semi-bright amber with a thin, foamy white lacing on top with a little more build up around the circumference. Pine & citrus hops with strong resinous notes & a warming alcohol finish; there's some caramel malts for a base & a little sweetness but it's strong & balanced throughout. It's quite strong tasting too with ripe tropical fruits, mainly mango & peach with more resinous pine & grapefruit. It's full bodied & thick with soft carbonation & a strong alcohol kick - it's quite boozy but the. Alan e isn't too bad really.
