Pint glass on tap. Black as night, but no head, other than a few wisps of foam. Was expecting/hoping for more smell since it was described as a chocolate porter. Verrrry subtle chocolate on nose and taste . Overall a nice porter that could be a stout, just don't expect a lot of chocolate.

As a fan of porter I grabbed a bottle of this from my local bottle shop, Liquor Emporium in Lompoc. Very reasonbly priced at $5.99 a 22 ounce bottle, it pours a deep, thick black with substantial tan head. Thankfully, the bottle I bought was only 6% ABV, even though BA lists it at 8%. A very rich porter with substantial coffee and roasty malt, thick rich body, but not over-hopped so the bitters were spot on. Will be drinking this one on a regular basis now that I live in CA.
