Poured into a wine glass from a 12oz bottle

A - a semi translucent golden copper leaning more on the golden, half finger white frothy head and nice lacing

S - very sweet, citrus, nice fruit floral, cracker like yeast (think pilsner), lots of sweet grain/malt with a bit of dry/toasted malt/grain, lemon-lime and altogether crisp

T - really nice spicy type hops up front, lots of sugar, mix between dry and sweet malt/grain, cracker yeast, lots of citrus and has that euro style pilsner taste to it with the soapyness

M - medium plus body, nice balance, nice complexity, medium plus acidity, medium plus carbonation -- this is Mexican style lager

D/O - this is one great Mexican lager. Refreshing, crisp and the perfect amount of biting hops. I will next be trying this as a craft michelada. Never wanted a carne asada taco or burrito so much as I do now tasting this beer. Don't be afraid of lime or lime salt either -- those are just for BMC Mexican style lagers. Don't age or wait, drink fresh

Final thoughts - at $13 a six pack that is just way too high and the under 5% ABV isn't awesome either. Otherwise, great, great lager!

Clear yellow colored beer with a massive white colored head.

Smells sweet with lots of caramel sugars. Grassy with the scent of hay, the Nobel mops give this a distinct horse hay scent. Scent of corn detected.

Start out sweet with a mild bitter bite. Bitterness is several orders of magnitude above any grocery store lager from a large Mexican or American brewery. Pleasantly Grassy and slightly soapy. bitter and much more like a German beer. Not that sweet on the tongue despite the smell. Taste of roasted malt.

Mouthfeel is good.

Overall...this is just a good lager. Don't let the name scare you off. This is a GERMAN lager not a near flavorless Mexican version.
