Bomber from Costco. This is a DIPA with pineapple juice.
The beer pours a nice orange hue. It's hazy to the point of opacity. Nice head retention. Aroma is Christmas tree and grapefruit. Touch of sweet and then the hop bitterness attacks. Super resiny, pine tree tailing into some juicy tropical citrus and bitter grapefruit pith. Lingering bitterness. Huge thick chewy mouthfeel. Finally a little bit of malt and sweetness at 10 seconds pokes thru, before the bitterness returns to keep it a contest. Just a bit boozy in the finish. It doesn't scream pineapple.
This is a DIPA on the sweeter thicker end of the spectrum. It is a bit juicy but not a juice bomb in terms of lightness or quaffability.
