Average "vibe" to me. Seems to be focused on a mild horror/metal theme, at least while I was there. Otherwise, it's a standard bar, nothing wrong with that. It was clean when I visited and customers and staff were friendly.
Quality of house-made beers was fine, again average or slightly above average. No glaring off-flavors in the beers, but also no house-brewed beer seemed exceptionally dialed-in. That might not be what they're going for, though: a few of the beers were more "fun" ingredient-oriented (ie: honey kolsch or mango green tea blonde ale), which may be what local patrons want. There are many other guest taps as well, which are probably of good quality.
Service was friendly, attentive, and helpful.
Selection is excellent, with five house-brewed beers on tap, many other guest taps, and a plethora of bottles and cans in an extensive cooler.
If visiting the area again, I'd stop in here and see what was on tap.

Stan alone, mid sized building with a moderate amount of parking around it and nearby. On the darker side inside, L shaped bar in the first room, and a pool table in the rear room...they offer their own beers and a healthy list of guest taps, as well as quality cans and bottles...I had one of their in house brewed IPAs and it was on point and quite pleasant....worthy no BS kinda place...bring in your own chow, cuz they dont offer any....real people, real beer..well worth a visit if you are local or visiting the QC area as I was.

A small stand alone building which is really a classic tavern, with other brewer's taps and regular liquor drinks. A type of place where non beer aficionados can quaff a Blue Ribbon, besides the craft beer drinkers, with their micros,

My favorite place, hands down, for consistently great craft beer in the Quad Cities. Has a nice large room connected to the bar with a pool table and dart boards, with plenty of seating, and can be used for private parties. Food trucks are usually there on weekends. Not much parking and a small outdoor area. Great bartenders and owner!

Small brewery that always has 4 of their beers on tap. Most known for their Garlic Stout. Good quality. Do many guest drafts and cans bottles. Weekly specials. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Little parking next to Augie.

This was a nice laid-back place, more of a locals crowd. There were cool elaborate murals on the walls, and a separate game room in the back with pool and darts, lots of windows with natural light in the space. Corner bar was cozy with comfy bar stools. The brewhouse was visible through a window opposite from the bar. Taps were set into the wall, with bottle cap magnets decorating the door to the cold room behind the bar.
They had 3 of their house beers on, a southern English brown, a grapefruit and lime blonde ale, and a dry oatmeal stout. All were good quality and the blonde and brown ales were surprisingly good, atypical for otherwise ho-hum styles. A 4th house beer had kicked the night before, an American black ale. Triptych Kellerbier was on tap, a relative rarity, and they had fresh cans of "A Wizard Is Never Late". They also had Schlitz on tap and go through 2 kegs a week apparently.
Service was great, the Saturday bartender was also the brewer I believe (Rich), so we chatted about beer with him, and got the lowdown on all the local spots. He really knew his stuff.
Do yourself a favor and get some fried chicken from Mulkey's to-go, and bring it over to Radicle Effect for a beer or two.
Overall we had a great experience here, and i'd happily return when in town again.

It's billed as a nanobrewery (it also used to be called Against the Grain, but that issue was settled amicably with the Louisville brewery). They have 1-2 of their own beers on tap, along with about a dozen quality craft lines and a few dozen bottles.
Small, quiet, and homey. It holds maybe 30 people, tops, the lighting is low and blue, and the while there's TV's, they don't play them too loudly. The house-made beer is solid, but I've had it twice and I honestly don't remember anything about it.
I have stopped in twice, and each time they had some reasonably rare stuff on tap along with excellent brewery flagships (2 Hearted) and seasonals (Celebration). They're not a gigantic draft account, and their western Illinois placement makes it so they don't get anything super rare. The best kegs get snatched up by RIBCO, but in order to drink them you have to put up with the loud grown-up-fratboy vibe of RIBCO. This is the nicer place to drink.
