Amber brew with a half finger head but not a lot of lacing. Good color.
Aroma was of light pine hops (which was good) and pond water (which wasn't). Got to ding it a little for that.
Taste was all about the pine hops. It started with them and finished with them, with a burst of caramel in the middle. The aftertaste was long and good.
Mouthfeel was smooth from start to finish.
Overall a bit better than average, it would have gotten slightly higher scores if that odd smell wasn't present.
