I sampling this beer from a 32 oz growler cold and poured into a snifter. The beer pours a clear copper color and is darker than I anticipated this pale ale to show in my glass.
A thin rim of eggshell white head tightly packs itself against the edges of my glass. The aroma is caramel and some husky grain with just a bit of herbal tea leaf hops. The nose is sweeter than I expected for a pale ale, but isnt offensive. First sip reveals an average body with very fine carbonation. The texture is light and airy and the beer is easy to drink.
Flavor is similar to the nose with sweet grainy malt dominating up front and then rolling to a bit of slightly astringent hops with some grassy hits on the swallow and accompanying burps.
The beer goes down easy, but I would look to boost the hop profile, especially on the nose to boost this beer a little. Worth trying, but i liked the espresso porter from the brewery much more.
