A: crystal clear; bronze colored; 1 finger finely pored light tan head that receded to a splotchy cap with a thick collar; very little lacing;
S: malt, floral, and butterscotch;
T: follows the nose for a moment, then there is an off-putting sourness (not tart, more like vinegar) that overwhelms everything else;
M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish;
O: the taste is uninviting;

Taster flight at brewery. Cloudy golden pour, slight foamy head. Not getting anything Scottish in either the aroma or taste. Light malty notes, not much flavor. Not sure what this was supposed to be.

This had the appearance of a good Scottish ale... nice amber color, thin head, with some lacing.
Aroma was all about malts. Caramel malts and a slightly odd wet dog aroma. Kind of off-putting but not necessarily offensive.
Taste was smooth malts, caramel with a touch of sweetness. As expected, no hops. Which also led to very little aftertaste.
Mouthfeel was smooth but not overly thick.
Overall a solid example of the style but not stellar.
