White Lion Brewing Company

Located in downtown Springfield, street parking or parking garages are nearby. Long, deep interior with bar that matches the length of the interior, dimly lit, most of the seating is at the bar. I was there at opening, so service was great. Bar staff was extreemly ffriendly and attentive. All of the beers were top notch. Chicken caeser wrap was very good, just hit the spot. Highly recommend.

 

An exciting and relatively new tap room and working brewery. The beer selection is large and rotates frequently. The beers feel experimental, like they are frequently trying new things. IPAs and Sours seem to be the mainstays currently. They are not afraid to reach for new flavors. Sometimes I have wished my favorites were available for longer. This is a confident and professional operation. Beer release collabs with local institutions and celebrities like NBA star Marcus Camby. The tap room itself is lively and attracts a variety of ages and demographics. I'm not crazy about the interior design personally, it's dark and all of the surfaces are hard materials. It can get echo-y and loud on a busy night. The location is clever, tucked into the ground floor an old mall turned professional office building. During nice weather they open one side to the street. A must visit for the beer enthusiast in Western Massachusetts.
